Director of the Global Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (GIIS), Dr. Uttam Babu Shrestha has been awarded a prestigious ‘Science Award 2020’ from the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) Nepal. This is the highest honor in the field of Science and Technology in Nepal. The announcement was made on April 19, 2021, after the 44th meeting of the NAST-academicians held at the Prime Minister’s residence. The Prime Minister of Nepal is the Chancellor of NAST. Dr. Shrestha received this highly competitive award for his contribution to the Science and Technology field in Nepal.
