Dr. Asheshwor Man Shrestha is a human geographer and an urban and regional planner. He completed his PhD in human geography from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2017 and earned a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Hawaii, USA in 2010. He is interested in research focusing on environmental change, transnational migration, and the social impacts of climate change, particularly in relation to how natural and human systems adapt to climate variability and change. His academic research also includes climate-agriculture-migration relationships, and climate adaptation policies. He has worked in various academic institutions and city councils in Australia. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He is highly skilled in data analysis and visualization.
