Dr. Keshav Prasad Paudel completed his PhD from the University of Bergen, Norway in 2011. He has a M.Phill degree in Mountain Ecology and Human Adaptation from the University of Bergen and Master’s degree in Geography from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His research work lies at the intersection of Geographic Information Science, resource management and socio-ecological system. He has used several sets of methods including remote sensing, spatial analysis and modelling, and ethnographies.

He served as a GIS analyst in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), the World Bank, Department of Water Induced Prevention Centre (DWIDP), Nepal and worked as an assistant lecturer in the Central Department of Geography Education, Tribhuvan University. Dr. Paudel is an Associate Professor at the Norwegian College of Fishery Science, The University of Tromsø - The Arctic University of Norway.
